How to Remove Press-On Nails Without Damaging Natural Nails
Removing press-on nails incorrectly can weaken your natural nails. Follow this safe method to protect them while taking off your manicure easily.
Method 1: For Glue-On Nails
- Fill a bowl with warm water and add a few drops of gentle nail polish remover (acetone-free preferred).
- Soak your nails for 10-15 minutes to soften the glue.
- Gently lift the edges of the press-on nails with an orange stick. If they don’t lift easily, soak for 5 more minutes—never force them off.
- Wipe off residual glue with a nail buffer, then apply cuticle oil to moisturize nails and skin.
Method 2: For Adhesive Tab Nails
Saturate a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol, press it on each nail for 20 seconds, then slowly peel the press-on nail off from the side. It’s quick and totally damage-free!
